What happens next
At the registration appointment, we will give you a document that allows the burial or cremation to take place, unless the coroner has already done so.
Alternatively, with your consent, we can scan this document to the crematorium or burial authority. We will also issue a form that you need to return to the Department for Work and Pensions if the deceased was receiving a state pension or other benefits.
